This Week in Wrestling: Week 28 of 2026
6 Sides to Every Story

There has been a lot of talk this past week about the awful job Dixie Carter did as CEO of TNA wrestling courtesy of the Dark Side of the Ring episodes on TNA. It looks much worse for her because she declined to speak on her involvement with the company for the series. There is no question she made a lot of mistakes during her run. Keeping Vince Russo for as long as she did, wanting to go head to head with WWE Raw, paying Hulk Hogan whatever he wanted at the expense of talent that made TNA what it was at that point….etc, etc.

Nobody is going to confuse Dixie with promoters like Eddie Graham, Vince McMahon, Paul Boesch or even Verne Gagne in AWA’s final days. She was a money mark plain and simple. She had no real working knowledge of professional wrestling and surrounded herself with the wrong people more concerned for their own pay day. Dixie Carter set TNA back years for many of the horrible decisions she made.

The one thing I will say in her defense is this…there wouldn’t be a TNA today if not for her. She stepped in when TNA was at death’s door and pulled them out. Her fandom of pro wrestling saved TNA. Granted, her ego and lack of wrestling business acumen nearly killed it anyway, but the fact remains that TNA still stands today because of her and her family’s money. The entire TNA saga is a fascinating one to say the least.

Dixie was/is also a milf. No matter what a lousy job she did with TNA no one can take that away from her. There are worse things to be in life.

To each his own, I guess. I wouldn’t touch her. Not now, not then.
