This Week in Wrestling: Week 34 of 2026
This weekend is jam packed with wrestling from both AEW and WWE. First off, AEW puts on their signature event ‘All In’ at Wembley Stadium in London, England. The main event will be Will Ospreay challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW world title. There have also been rumors floating around that the team formerly known as New Day will debut on the show. Regardless, Tony Khan and AEW I am sure are going to pull out all the stops to make this a very memorable event.
On the other side, WWE has two shows that will counter All In weekend. The first is the NXT show Heatwave which will be main evented with a Fatal Four way that’ll see Tony D’Angelo defending his NXT championship against Cruz Montana, Zilla Fatu and Grayson Waller. AAA will also have a show entitled Ola de Calor which will have a contract signing for the Mega championship between Dirty Dom Mysterio and El Grande Americano. So even more wrestling action on tap this weekend.
Say what you will, AEW’s All In will most likely be the better show. I just have a feeling that Triple H and company might provide a surprise or two that’ll get the talk shifted from AEW to WWE. I have a feeling that both companies want to control the wrestling headlines this weekend and both will pull out all the stops.
Whether you are an AEW or WWE fan or just a fan of pro wrestling…there is a lot to offer on this final weekend of August. That’s always a good thing.

I don’t get this fascination with AEW PPVs and the narrative that they’re so awesome. What I see is a bunch of morons who should be pretending to hurt themselves actually hurting themselves with no rhyme or reason and trying to outdo one another with who can do the most spectacular nonsensical stuff to get an “ooooooo” instead of a “yay” or “boo” without a care in the world, because the only money they need to draw is Tony Khan’s.
But hey, Meltzer’s gonna be thrilled…

Then please point me to wrestling that will let me suspend my disbelief instead of punching me between the eyes with how fake it is and make me care. Still that simple?
Volume doesn’t equal quality. Contemporary wrestling is basically like contemporary technology: never as advanced as it is now, yet nothing works right. But that’s fine, the masses love mediocre. As long as they have someone they deem important telling them it’s great.
