Brian Damage

This is the 570th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

Mistress Distress

Shinya Hashimoto was a huge star in Japanese wrestling throughout the 1990’s and early 2000’s. He was dubbed one of the ‘Three Musketeers of wrestling’ along with Keiji Muto and Masahiro Chono. Hashimoto’s popularity in the ring, led to other opportunities such as acting and promoting.

In 2004, Hashimoto’s good friend and fellow wrestler Kodo Fuyuki passed away after a year long battle with cancer. A couple of months after Fuyuki’s death, Hashimoto began having an affair with his friend’s widow Kaoru Fuyuki. Hashimoto was married to a woman named Kazumi and had three small children at the time of the affair. Hashimoto eventually left his own family to move in with Kaoru and hers.

In 2005, Shinya Hashimoto suffered a brain aneurysm at Kaoru’s home and died on the way to the hospital. His ex wife Kazumi was present at the morgue to identify her ex’s body. It was there that she discovered that Hashimoto was having another secret affair with a different woman other than Kaoru. Kazumi and the other mistress became fast friends bonding over their mutual hatred for Kaoru who went public with her affair with Hashimoto.

Khan-Viction

Former TNA wrestler Rhaka Khan aka Trenesha Biggers was arrested in New York City and charged with criminal trespassing in July of 2025. Biggers refused to leave her midtown Manhattan apartment after several eviction notices for failure to pay rent.

After repeated violations, police were called to the apartment and arrested the 43 year old Biggers. Biggers has a long history of legal issues including suing several WWE wrestlers including the Rock, the Miz and Nikki Bella for alleging wrongful seizure of her children. She was also on El Paso, Texas’ Most Wanted list for failing to appear in court after being accused of interference with child custody and aggravated kidnapping.

Train Wrecked

Johnny LaRue wrestled from the 1930’s and 40’s, was a former Junior heavyweight champion and a veteran of the armed forces. After his career ended, LaRue worked in construction, but found himself on the wrong side of the law several times. In July of 1955, LaRue was sent to a hospital in Tucson, Arizona after trashing his own apartment in what appeared to be a mental breakdown.

LaRue was eventually released from the hospital that night and once again began destroying public property like street signs and failing to pay for his drinks at a bar. This time, LaRue was arrested and sent to jail. While detained, LaRue trashed his cell and was placed in a straight jacket. That evening, he was ordered by a judge to be sent to a mental hospital in Texas. He was accompanied by two medical assistants.

LaRue never made it to the hospital in Texas, as he was found dead on the train the next morning. An autopsy was performed and determined that he died of natural causes. His good friend and fellow wrestler ‘The Black Panther’ Jim Mitchell accused the cops of beating LaRue up while in custody and most likely died from his injuries. The police denied any wrongdoing. Johnny La Rue was just a couple weeks shy of his 49th birthday at the time of his death. It was believed that LaRue suffered head trauma from both his time in the military and his years as a professional wrestler as a possible cause for his violent outbursts.

Steele Her Away

In May of 2025, independent wrestler Jayden Steele was arrested at his home in Florida, when it discovered that he was holding his girlfriend against her will. Police were notified after the girlfriend wrote a note asking for help in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant. The note stated that she was being held against her will and her life was in great danger. A restaurant employee discovered the note and called police.

When police arrived at Steele’s home, they discovered the girlfriend at the premises and confirmed she wrote the note and was being held hostage. There were visible cuts and bruises on her body including broken bones. She was sent to a hospital for her injuries and trauma. Jayden Steele was arrested and charged with multiple felonies including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, kidnap-false imprisonment, battery, and battery by strangulation.

Rhaka Khan’s ramblings were something to read. Seemed like she was giving into total conspiracy theory. Virtually every big name in the business was at fault for her problems, but not she herself.

Yes! That was crazy! I was wondering what ever came of all of that.
