This is the 566th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
…It Hurts inside

Hulk Hogan’s ex-wife Linda posted an emotional video on her social media, where she called Hulk a sex maniac and a person with a rape charge against him. She mentioned how Hogan cheated on her multiple times including with his best friend’s wife. She mentioned that while it destroyed her marriage, Hulk ended up getting paid 30 million dollars in a lawsuit. Linda accused her divorce lawyers of being in “cahoots” with Hulk and his lawyers and she ended up with practically nothing in her divorce settlement.

She revealed that all of the fighting and toxicity caused her daughter Brooke to cut off both of her parents. Linda says she hasn’t spoken to her daughter in almost eight years and wasn’t invited to her wedding or called after Brooke gave birth to her twins. After the video was posted, Brooke Hogan decided to address the issues with her parents.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Brooke talked about the situation by saying…
“There was a recent video posted by my Mother that was concerning enough for people to send to me, that has made me feel the need to address the tip of a very large iceberg that is my immediate family,” “What little I am addressing does not even scratch the surface of what I’ve dealt with my entire life…No contact with my Mom has nothing to do with my Dad, and no contact with my Father has nothing to do with my Mother.”
“What I’m about to say is not pointed at either person…I have been EXTREMELY verbally and mentally abused since childhood,” “Sadly, it would frequently turn physical. And sometimes it’s not by the person you would assume, abuse comes in all shapes and sizes. This vicious pattern has robbed me of any sense of self-esteem or confidence I’ve been trained to pretend to have. “Up until adulthood,” I have received berating and vile text messages, verbal, public reamings with unbelievably hurtful words said to me that cannot be forgotten. I’ve been ASKED to defend poor behavior to the public and have done so out of love. Only to find I was misinformed, manipulated, and lied to. Still to this day I face constant ridicule for those poor decisions of others. I’ve watched others benefit financially off my suffering and embarrassment caused by their selfish behavior. While it caused my life to crumble, I continued to stay strong and silent.”

Linda Hogan would respond to the abuse allegations by calling her daughter Brooke…“narcissist just like her dad.” “I think I spanked Brooke once yeah I called her a couple of names, by no means ever treated her the way she’s painting it,” she continued. “They had cell phones. She could’ve posted horrible things about me back when all of this was supposedly happening, but nothing, she didn’t because nothing was happening.”

While all this back and forth family drama was going on social media between Linda and Brooke, Hulk and his current wife Sky posted a video of themselves eating popcorn. Sadly, Hulk Hogan would pass away in July of 2025.
Solitario Confinement

El Solitario was perhaps the fourth most popular luchador of all time behind El Santo, Blue Demon and Mil Mascaras. Solitario tragically died in 1986 of cardiac arrest at a relatively young age of 39 years old. His son would carry on his legacy starting in 1990 under the moniker of El Hijo del Solitario. Unfortunately, his career has never come close to that of his legendary father.
El Hijo del Solitario admitted that much of his lack of superstardom fell on his own shoulders. He admitted to partying at a young age and abusing both alcohol and drugs for years. So much so, he blew through his father’s entire inheritance. El Hijo del Solitario was left broke and forced to continue to wrestle despite the lack of passion and success that his late father had. He would put a part of the blame of his troubles on not having a father/father-like figure or mentor in his life and being alone at a young age with so much money at his disposal.

In February of 2025, El Hijo del Solitario voluntarily unmasked himself during a match against Blue Demon Jr. Many fans and critics took that as a slap in the face of the legacy that his father built. Some believed that the luchador was either drunk or high on drugs to unmask himself without reason.
Smashed Crash

In an interview in 2003, Crash Holly talked about his drinking issues and an incident that occurred at the WWF themed restaurant in New York City. Crash mentioned that it was after a show at Madison Square Garden and he and a bunch of the talent were all invited to the restaurant WWF New York. Crash said the drinks at the private event were all free and he took advantage of that and got completely drunk. So much so, he puked a couple of times in the restaurant. He also was told that he stripped out of his clothes and ran around the place completely naked.
The incident got back to WWF management and Crash was removed from television and taken off the road for several months. Crash’s tag team partner Bob ‘Hardcore’ Holly wrote about Crash and his drinking problem in his book saying that Crash drank like a fish. While it was customary for a lot of the boys to drink on the road, Crash drank like no other he had ever seen and worried that Crash would suffer alcohol poisoning.

In the aforementioned 2003 interview, Crash recognized that he drank too much and that most likely lead to his dismissal from the WWE. Five months after that interview, Crash Holly was sadly found dead from what was ruled a suicide after drinking an entire bottle of alcohol and ingesting a number of pills.
Between a Rock and a Hard Place

In December of 1936, a pro wrestling match between Jack Lipscomb and Harry Elliott turned legitimately violent. During the match, a frustrated Lipscomb placed a rock which he had hidden under the ring and wrapped it in a towel and struck Elliott over the head with it. When Elliott fell to the ground, Lipscomb pinned the injured wrestler for the victory. Noticing blood coming from Elliott’s head, the referee discovered the rock inside the towel.
Police who were working the event as security, were summoned to the ring and arrested Lipscomb on the spot and was charged with assault with a deadly weapon. No other details were made available in the case.

The Hogan’s didn’t need their reality series to be scripted.
Also looking forward to the upcoming story on Flair doing Cameo videos in a bar apparently drunk again.

Legit, the Hogans are/were one of the most disgusting families ever.
