This is the 396th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
Rodney Mack At The Helms
During a Raw brand house show in Knoxville, Tennessee in September 2003, a tag match was scheduled between Mark Henry and Rodney Mack versus Hurricane Helms and Rosey. Before the match took place, Hurricane Helms was laying out all the particulars in how the match was going to be played out. Rodney Mack added a few thoughts and suggestions nd apparently Helms got insulted.
Helms felt that since he was the veteran, Mack should’ve kept his mouth shut and just go along with his match plan. That led to a verbal argument between Helms and Mack and it eventually led the two into a physical fight backstage. The other wrestlers were able to break the fight up, but not before Mack got the upper hand and pummeled Helms…who needed to be taken to a hospital. In the end, neither wrestler was terminated, but were both reprimanded by WWE management.
Tell A Graham
In the Spring of 1963, Eddie Graham got into some sort of physical altercation with an individual named Wilson Robinson. Details are a bit sketchy, but apparently Robinson allegedly attacked Graham and the wrestler made Robinson instantly regret it. Robin was hospitalized for his injuries and then subsequently arrested.
Robinson threatened to sue Graham for his part in the altercation. Eddie Graham offered to pay for Robinson’s medical bills and bail in exchange for Robinson dropping his lawsuit. Robinson agreed and sent Graham a handwritten letter with it dated and signed.
Play Misty For Me
Misty Blue Simmes wrestled all over the world for organizations like the AWA, NWA and even briefly for WCW. She was a former NWA United States Women’s champion and was inducted into the NWA Hall of Fame in 2012. She was a favorite in the Apter wrestling magazines during the 1980’s. Misty starred in a number of X Rated movies before her wrestling career took off under the name of ‘Bunny Hatton’ as chronicled here.
Her and her husband Jon are admitted sex addicts and swingers who have slept with other partners solo and in threesomes. They used to frequent many sex parties at people’s homes and in clubs. They have had sex with several prominent people wo they do not name, but one was the daughter of a New York congressman. In one incident, they took the daughter to a sex club and the daughter got drunk. She grabbed a whip and started randomly whipping people in the club. She ended up striking a large male individual, who became angry at the politician’s daughter.
It took Misty and her husband to talk to the man and calm him down from striking the young woman. Luckily, she wasn’t recognized by anyone at the club avoiding any huge scandal to break out.
Get Off Milan!
Lorenzo Fineschi was a pro wrestler who competed throughout Italy during the 1960’s. In 1965, Fineschi was arrested in connection to a series of muggings in Milan. At first, Fineschi denied any wrongdoing, but upon further investigation by police…Fineschi was indeed responsible and jailed. It was revealed that pro wrestlers in Italy were not well paid and despite Fineschi being one of Italy’s top stars, he too suffered financially. His arrest led to the downfall of professional wrestling in Italy for several years.
After an undisclosed amount of time in prison, Lorenzo Fineschi was released and decided to embark on a new career path. He became an actor and starred in many films shot in Italy.
