If you were a fan of the World Wrestling Federation back in the mid 1990’s, you may remember several skits, segments and video packages involving a couple of young 20 year old males. Their names were George and Adam and they were labeled as WWF super fans. Today on the blog, we ask ‘Whatever Happened to’ WWF Super Fans George and Adam?

George and Adam appeared in several comedic segments where they helped promote WWF pay per views, matches and other events. For instance, the duo would camp out in San Antonio, Texas months before the 1997 Royal Rumble, only to get kicked out before the show. They would sneak into WWF locker rooms, sit in empty arenas waiting for Wrestlemania 13 to start and overall just act goofy in front of WWF talent.

They would be guests at the 1997 Slammy Awards, where they presented an award for Best Tattoos that the Undertaker ultimately won. Once the Undertaker showed up to collect his Slammy Award, George wet his pants in fear…only a joke Vince McMahon himself could laugh at.

George often appeared on the WWF’s Saturday morning show called WWF Mania where he was usually fodder to host Todd Pettengill jokes. He was affectionately known as “George the Germ.” The George and Adam skits lasted from 1995 until 1998, when the company really started to focus on the more adult ‘Attitude Era.’

For those who didn’t know, George and Adam were not paid actors, they were actual WWF employees, who worked for the company’s Coliseum Video department. The two young men were handpicked by Kevin Dunn and Vince McMahon to portray obsessed WWF fans. George would sporadically appear on camera for the WWF up until around 2001.

So the question remains…Whatever Happened to WWF Super Fans George and Adam? The two have remained with WWE in different capacities.

George: real name George Germanakos is currently the Vice President, Media Clearance and Research for WWE. He has been employed by the WWF/WWE since 1990

Adam: real name Adam Pennucci is currently Senior Vice President of Domestic/International TV Production. Adam has been credited with making many of the video packages we see on WWE television throughout the years. He hasbeen employed with WWE since 1994.

Both reside with their wives and children in Stamford, Connecticut.
