The Fabulous Moolah.  Mae Young.  Madusa. Sherri Martel. Wendi Richter.  Some of the most famous female wrestlers of all time.  This column attempts to spotlight some female wrestlers that time may have forgotten. 

Susan Sexton-The Australian born Sexton was trained by Mildred Burke in 1975. 

                Where did she wrestle?  NWA, AWA. AJPW

                Titles won-inaugural LPWA champion.

Notes: She was a great wrestler, known for technical knowledge.  She has her own fan page, https://www.facebook.com/suesextonfanpage/.  Trained Jasmin St Claire. 

Winona Little Heart- Stepdaughter of wrestler/booker “Dirty” Dick Barkley.  Trained by                  Fabulous Moolah.

Where did she wrestle?  All over the US and Canada.

Titles won- 1st NWA United States Women’s Championship, WCW World Women’s Tag Team Championship with Luna Vachon.

Notes: Trained Wendy Ricther.  She joined Kevin Sullivan’s “Army of Darkness” stable as The Lock and frequently fought with Sullivan’s other valet, Fallen Angel.

Sue Green-Trained by The Fabulous Moolah.

Where did she wrestle?  All over the US and Canada.

Titles won- NWA World title, WCW World title, PGWA title

Notes: Began wrestling at 15 years old. Trained Peggy Patterson and Winona Little Heart.  In 1976 Green was voted Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 1976 “Girl Wrestler of the Year”.  Elected to the Women’s Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2023.

Peggy Patterson- Trained by The Fabulous Moolah, Mildred Burke and Susan Green.

Where did she wrestle?  All over the US and Canada.

Titles won- NWA Mid-American Women’s Tag Team Title with Susan Green.

Penny Banner-Trained by Billy Wolfe.

Where did she wrestle?  All over the US and Canada.

Titles won- NWA Texas title, AWA World title, NWA Southern title.

Notes: Ex-wife of Johnny Weaver. Tag-teamed with Weaver, Ray Stevens and Magnum TA.
