Lights, Cameras, Traction are a group of articles that looks at professional wrestlers that have exchanged gold in the squared circle to the silver screen of Hollywood. Wrestlers who have dabbled or completely transitioned into acting.

Robert Mailett was born in Canada on October 26th, 1969. He would grow to be outstanding 7 feet tall and well over 300 pounds. He got his start in 1989 wrestling as The Acadian Giant. He first appeared in the WWF in a squash match in 1991. Then it was over to Japan for Super World of Sports & W*NG as as Giant Goliath.

His first big break came as The Interrogator as part of The Truth Commission headed by The Jackyl(Don Callis). This would last until 1998 through 1999 when he became the dancing, playful Giant known as Kurrgan as part of the Oddities, alongside Insane Clown Posse, Golga(Earthquake), Luna Vachon, and Giant Silva.

After his wrestling career dwindled down, he became an aspiring actor. Starring in roles in blockbuster movies like 300, Pacific Rim, Sherlock Holmes, and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters…just to name a few. While filming Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr., he accidentally punched Downey knocking him out cold!

He would also go on to have a role in the Marvel blockbuster movie Deadpool 2 as Sluggo. From there he would have a role in the Netflix movie “Game Over Man!” as well as the critically acclaimed thriller alongside Kevin James in the movie “Becky”.

He has appeared in many more feature films as well as television shows.
