This is the 393rd installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
The Easy E Way Or The Hard Way

In 1988, Eric Bischoff was working in sales for the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and just started becoming an on air talent for the promotion. Bischoff had just signed a deal with a major brewery and a popular local bar in Rochester, Minnesota to advertise on AWA television. Bischoff put together a party at the bar to celebrate them as new advertisers. There were several AWA wrestlers and personalities at this party, including ‘Diamond’ Dallas Page who was working as a manager for the company.

Bischoff admitted that when he initially met DDP, he was not a fan. Bischoff felt that Page was too talkative and very loud. At this party, apparently both DDP and Bischoff got drunk and Page gave the some of the bar’s employees an attitude. Bischoff confronted Page and the two argued, leading DDP to be thrown out of the party. After the event, Bischoff returned to the hotel, where he was met by a drunk, humiliated and angry DDP. The two started arguing again, only this time punches were thrown and the two had to be pulled apart by a few wrestlers.
The next morning, DDP was still angry and wanted to go find Bischoff and finish their fight. He got a knock on his hotel door and when opened, it was Eric Bischoff. A surprised Page asked Eric what was he doing at his room and Bischoff gave DDP two choices. They could either settle their differences by fighting or just shake hands and end things. The two ended up shaking hands and would later become close friends.
Mike Drop

Mike Davis was a journeyman wrestler who wrestled for various territories in the 1970’s and 80’s in places like Florida, Memphis and Texas. He was also used as enhancement talent for both the WWF and WCW back in the 1990’s. Davis was most known for being one half of the tag team ‘The Rock N Roll RPM’s’ with partner Tommy Lane.
Mike Davis was allegedly a heavy cocaine user and at times fueled him to pull mean spirited ‘ribs’ or pranks that destroyed other wrestlers personal property and caused trouble within locker rooms. Sadly, Davis died on Christmas Day of 2001 of a massive heart attack which was believed to have been drug related. Mike Davis was just 45 years old at the time of his death.
Plane Jane

On a flight from Detroit, Michigan to Spokane, Washington…several WWF wrestlers were on board to travel to the next town for a show. The Iron Sheik was one of those passengers. A flight attendant noticed Sheik laying across two seats as if he was sleeping. That’s when the attendant got a strong scent of marijuana inside the plane. As it turned out, the Iron Sheik was smoking a joint and blowing the smoke towards the floor…..thinking it would just disappear.
According to Barry Windham, who was also on the same flight, the pilot refused to take off and U. S, Marshalls were called. They arrested the Iron Sheik and was detained. After his release from custody, the Iron Sheik returned to the WWF without any additional punishment.
Eye Witness

Independent wrestler Dani Mo was allegedly assaulted backstage at an OVW event in December of 2021. She was supposedly sucker punched in the eye when she complained to OVW management that several wrestlers were intoxicated before their matches. Her boyfriend and fellow wrestler Facade took to social media to tell the story…“We’re headed back from Louisville right now. During a backstage meeting where “officials asked to leave,” Dani was sucker punched in the eye from behind after speaking up about people getting intoxicated before the show.”
A little while later, Dani Mo clarified on social media that she and Facade were not calling out Ohio Valley Wrestling itself. She said, “I want to make this CLEAR, this has NOTHING to do w/ a company I work for, this incident was out of their hands COMPLETLY. It was w/ 1 particular person. Please do not make assumptions nor bash anyone.”

Dani Mo was schedule for a match on that show, but pulled out due to the alleged incident. It should also be noted that the name of the wrestler who allegedly assaulted Dani Mo was never named.
