This is the 13th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin’ series. These are stories and scandals that look at the darker and seedier events in pro wrestling. They may involve sex, rape, drug abuse, assaults and arrests. As with every installment, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants involved. I am simply retelling these stories.
Lisa Marie Varon Meltdown
Sometimes unfortunate events unfold right before our eyes. Below are a few tweets that came from the former WWE and TNA women’s champion’s twitter account recently. It is basically outing her husband of having a possible affair. The tweets have since been removed and some have claimed she was hacked. If the tweets did in fact come from Lisa Varon, we hope and wish her nothing but luck and happiness.

Where Has That Moppy Been?
Perry Saturn has gone on record several times as saying he hated the entire ‘Moppy’ gimmick. In interviews he stated he would actually bring the mop on dates with various women. When it was time for intimacy, he would place a condom on the mop’s handle and use it on the woman he was with. Vince McMahon heard the stories and asked Saturn if they were true. When he said yes, Vince made him retell the stories to his production staff for laughs. Asked why he put a condom on the mop…Saturn replied, “I still had to carry around that thing.”
Lodi’s Signs
Speaking of Perry Saturn, he also stated that a majority of his former WCW “Flock” partner Lodi’s signs were filled with sexual innuendos. After a night of debauchery with members of the Raven’s Flock….Lodi would make signs as inside jokes about the previous night’s sexual events.
Jim Neidhart Arrest
In 2010, Jim Neidhart was arrested and charged with two counts of trafficking a controlled substance, one count of home burglary and one count of grand theft. Neidhart had allegedly broke into a neighbors home and stole her pain killer medication. The former WWF tag team champion was sentenced to 5 months in a supervised residential program.
Missy Hyatt’s Lawsuit
In the early 1990’s, Missy Hyatt was involved in a relationship with ‘The Wonder Years’ actor Jason Hervey. After Missy broke up with Jason, a certain amount of friction developed between the two. It certainly didn’t help that Jason Hervey was good friends with a rising executive within WCW named Eric Bischoff. During a match at Starrcade ’93, Missy had an accidental wardrobe malfunction which caused one of her breasts to pop out of her dress briefly.
About a month later, while at the CNN center in Atlanta, Georgia…Missy noticed a photograph of her and her exposed breast pinned on a bulletin board next to pictures of Wolf Blitzer and Larry King. She took the pic down and confronted Eric Bischoff demanding to find out who was responsible for the act and to obtain all the negatives of that picture. Bischoff promised Missy he would handle the matter…only nothing was ever done.
A week later, Missy went over Bischoff’s head to his boss and complained about the incident and the lack of response by Bischoff. The very next day, Eric Bischoff fired Missy Hyatt. That led to a sexual harassment lawsuit which Missy won for an undisclosed amount of money.
Lita and Strawberry
This next story I will chalk up as a rumor for now. Back in 1999/2000 after Amy ‘Lita’ Dumas signed with the WWF, the company was in the Carolinas for WWF events. After a show, an independent female wrestler nicknamed ‘Strawberry Fields’ approached then WWF announcer Kevin Kelly and told him that while Lita was just getting started with her career in the business…Lita slept with both her and her husband (Also a wrestler/booker) Strawberry admitted that she and her husband were swingers and Lita would often spend ‘quality time’ with the couple.
Kevin Kelly was never quite sure why Strawberry would divulge that information to him…but he speculated it might have been out of jealousy that Amy was hired by the company and she was not. Amy did in fact mention Strawberry Fields in her autobiography and admitted that she stayed with the couple and they helped book and train her in the states. No mention was ever made of a sexual relationship…although Amy wrote that her and Strawberry never really hit it off socially.
