Brian Damage
This is the tenth installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. These pieces cover the seedier, darker side of pro wrestling. Some involve tales of sex, drugs, rape, robbery and even murder. As is with all the others in the Sin series, I do not condone nor do I condemn the parties involved.
The Descension of Thomas Latimer

Thomas Latimer better known as ‘Bram’ in TNA…was once a former WWE developmental wrestler named ‘Kenneth Cameron.’ On Thanksgiving Eve of 2012, while still under a WWE developmental contract, Latimer was arrested for Disorderly and Public Intoxication and Battery of a Police officer. He was released on $5,100 bail. Five thousand for putting his hands on an officer and one hundred dollars for the intoxication charge.
This wasn’t the first time Latimer had issues with the law, as he had a prior arrest for driving under the influence. It was believed that Latimer was on the verge of a call up to the main roster with his then ‘Ascension’ tag team partner Conor O’Brian in January of 2013. Following his second arrest with the company, Latimer was issued his release. In real life, Latimer is married to second generation wrestler and NXT diva Charlotte aka Ashley Fliehr. (Ric Flair’s daughter)
Speaking of Ashley Fliehr…

As a 22 year old in 2008, Ashley was involved in a domestic dispute with her father Ric. Police were called to their home to find Ric bloodied and battered. When police attempted to arrest Ashley, she allegedly kicked one of the officers and was subsequently tasered and handcuffed. Ric Flair refused to press charges against his daughter.
Taking A Bite of the Big Apple

In 2000, former ECW and WWE wrestler/valet Nicole Bass was attending the San Genaro festival with her husband and a few others when a fight broke out after a man allegedly bumped into her step daughter. A police officer attempted to break up the fight when Nicole Bass allegedly bit the officer on his thumb. Nicole was arrested and she eventually plead guilty to disorderly conduct.
This wasn’t the last time Nicole was charged with biting an officer. In 2005, after a domestic dispute with her husband in their Queens, NY home, police were called. Nicole allegedly once again took a bite of a police officer’s hand. She was arrested and sent for psychiatric evaluation.
Kona Crushed

In 1995, the late Brian ‘Crush’ Adams was arrested after Adams reportedly purchased illegal steroids in Hawaii. He was also carrying around a stun gun….also illegal. Adams was tried and convicted and served some jail time as well as received probation.
Dr. Death’s Brawl for All

The late Dr. Death Steve Williams has had several run ins with the law. He was arrested three times for drug possession, with his biggest coming in 1988. He was arrested at a Detroit airport after customs discovered 3 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of marijuana, 2 grams of psilocybin, 241 steroid pills, 28 ml of injectable steroids, and other assorted pills in his luggage. Williams was accused of trying to export these drugs with the intent to sell them. Williams claimed those drugs were all for his own personal use. He received a fine, one year’s probation and community service.
He was also involved in a near bar room brawl with Buddy Landell and Hercules Hernandez against an entire bar. According to Williams, Buddy Landell was running his mouth and pissed off an entire bar. Before a brawl broke out, cops were called and the three wrestlers were escorted out of the establishment. While heading for the door, an unidentified man sucker punched Williams and led to a melee. As a cop tried to control an enraged Dr Death by putting him in a choke hold, Williams proceeded to fling the cop off of him rendering the officer unconscious.
Steve Williams was arrested and received a fine of $5,000 and was released.
Teddy’s Talkin’

We wrap up this tenth edition of Sin with a couple of Teddy Long stories. Ever since Teddy was released from the WWE, Teddy has been doing a series of interviews and has quite the interesting stories to share.
The first involves himself, as he was caught selling Viagra pills to WWE wrestlers backstage. He use to charge the crew, 10 bucks a pill and when he was caught, he had to appear in something called ‘Wrestler’s court.’ A behind the scenes court where he was judged by his peers.
The second occurred while still a member of Jim Crockett’s promotion. Randy Savage came into Atlanta for a visit to possibly sign with them. Teddy Long was assigned to take care of any of Savage’s needs. Randy asked Teddy to take him someplace in Atlanta to buy marijuana. So Teddy took Savage and Dick Slater to a local drug dealer. While in the car, the dealer took out both weed and a bag of cocaine…offering to sell that as well. Savage proceeded to put the drug dealer in a choke hold, making him pass out and stole all of his drugs.
