She was a singer, actress and host, who worked for World Wrestling Entertainment. Today on the blog, we ask…’Whatever Happened to Rue DeBona?’

Ruthann DeBona got her start in the entertainment industry at the young age of 5 years old. She did some acting and singing as a child and teenager. In 1993, DeBona was a part of an all girl singing group called ‘Boy Krazy.’ One of their singles…’That’s What Love Can Do’ reached number 18 on the Billboard charts. The group would eventually split up and DeBona tried her hand at a solo career.

DeBona also tried her hand at acting snagging TV roles on the Sopranos, Law and Order and a few indie films. All the time doing publicity work as a singer helped DeBona grow a passion for being in front of the camera more and she embarked on a career as a television personality.

In 2003, Rue DeBona was hired by WWE as a backstage interviewer and host. DeBona went on to interview various WWE stars like Torrie Wilson, the Big Show and Sable. She along with Josh Mathews hosted a WWE review show called ‘Afterburn.’ In 2004, Rue DeBona requested and received her release from the company, so she could concentrate on other outside ventures. She eventually married her Afterburn co host Josh Mathews in 2006 and the couple divorced in 2008.

So the question remains…whatever happened to Rue DeBona? Rue continued acting starring in a few movies. She eventually started her own business called Ruege Incorporated where he works as a make up artist for high end clientele. She has remarried and lives in Chicago, Illinois.
