This is the 605th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
NWO – 4 Wife?
The late Scott Hall’s ex wife Dana revealed in an interview that she and Scott’s best friend Kevin Nash hooked up romantically a few times in 2008. According to Dana, she reached out to Kevin to discuss Scott’s continuing abuse of drugs and alcohol. The conversation would soon turn into Kevin consoling a very upset Dana that allegedly morphed into Nash coming on to Dana.
Dana Hall claimed that Nash completely took advantage of her vulnerability, but did take some responsibility for her own actions for hooking up with Hall’s friend. It should be noted that Dana and Scott were divorced in 2001, while Kevin has been married to his wife Tamara since 1988. They were separated briefly in 2000, when Kevin and Nitro Girl Chae had a fling. As of this writing, Nash has not addressed the claims made by Dana. A friend of Nash’s in wrestler/promoter Rico Casanova defended Nash by saying those accusations aren’t true and Nash remains committed to his wife after all these years.
Dana also criticized Nash for being a horrible friend to Scott because he was an enabler. Instead of trying to get Scott the help he needed from addiction, Nash and other members of the Kliq partied hard with Scott making his addiction so much worse. She said that she and her family were at his death bed holding his hand in his final moments, while Nash was over 6 hours away and nowhere near Scott in his final hours.
Dana also called out the Kliq members in Nash, Shawn Michaels and Triple H for promising to look after Hall’s kids in Cassidy and Cody, but have failed to live up to their promises. Cody Hall was a former wrestler himself who suffered a career ending neck injury that caused Cody to go into a deep depression abusing drugs himself. Dana says Cody now acts like a recluse living in Vietnam away from everybody who knows and loves.
Highway to Hell
Juventino Olmos Soto was a Mexican wrestler who competed under the name of ‘Ombú.’ Soto mainly competed for small independent promotions in the Veracruz area of Mexico. In 2012, Soto was driving on a highway in his hometown of Xalapa, Veracruz, when several vehicles blocked his car and then opened fire on him. Soto died at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.
An investigation into his murder was conducted and it was believed that Soto was the target of a local drug cartel in the area. While it was unknown if Soto was directly involved in any type of illegal activity, family of his claimed he was targeted by the cartel because he was a local celebrity being a luchador. They believe he was shot and killed after refusing to pay a fee for his protection.
Wrestler At Lars
In the late 1970’s, a young Dutch Mantell was wrestling for the Florida territory and had a televised match with veteran wrestler Lars Anderson. Before their match started, Lars informed the locker room that he intended to put the young Dutch to the test and rough him up. During the contest, Lars did just that and took down Dutch and began using his wrist and elbow to grind into Dutch’s eye.
After repeated attempts to ask Lars to take it easy, it only led to Lars being even more stiff. Mantell was able to get from under Lars by using a wrestling technique taught to him by the Brisco brothers. After the match ended, an angry Dutch ran to the back to confront Lars Anderson. The two got into a heated exchange that nearly got physical. It was Jerry Brisco who got between the two wrestlers and sided with Dutch. Brisco then challenged Lars to an amateur wrestling match right then and there. Lars backed down and Dutch said that Lars never apologized for his actions and never spoke again.
The Continental Divide
The former ‘Continental Lover’ Eddy Mansfield was arrested in Orlando, Florida in September of 2018. He was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Mansfield who was 61 at the time of the incident, allegedly got into an argument with an unknown individual and threatened to shoot them with a gun he had on him. Police were called to the scene and Mansfield was arrested.
Unfortunately, no other details of the case were made public. Eddy Mansfield was a wrestler/promoter from the 1970’s and 80’s who infamously went on the national news program 20/20 and exposed some of the secrets of professional wrestling back in 1984.

I don’t know how much of the stuff told about Eddy Mansfield is true. I don’t know how much of the stuff Eddy Mansfield tells about himself is true. I just know that I want to punch him in the face anytime I hear him talk.

The host of the podcast (Monte and the Pharaoh) where Dana Hall (Scotts ex wife, mom of his 2 kids Cody and Cassidy) made up a ton of lies said she called him back the day after because she was drinking when she did the show and realized she told a bunch of lies to sensationalize her interview, but they refused to take it down. They said they knew she was a liar and anyone who knows her, knows what a bad person she is. Kevin Nash wouldn’t touch her with a 10 foot pole. She’s not attractive. His wife is a smoke show. Dana Hall is not nice at all. Her own son Cody doesn’t speak to her and she thinks that grown men (The Kliq) are supposed to “take care” of her grown children? The woman is delusional. She’s an alcoholic and she still uses Scotts name to get herself any publicity. She is a train wreck who abandoned her first two kids from a prior marriage. She has four kids total. Just a terrible person. Kevin Nash never came onto her. She also said Shawn Michaels is a “weirdo”. No one has ever called him that . Apparently she is pissed HHH and Shawn ignored her at Scotts funeral and refuse to give Cody Hall (a drug addict) a job at the performance center.
