Professional wrestling has been filled with second, third and even fourth generation wrestlers. Some have made it bigger than their family members, while others have flopped badly. We have already covered seven installments of this in past with Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, Volume 4, Volume 5 , Volume 6, Volume 7, Volume 8 , Volume 9 , Volume 10, Volume 11 and Volume 12. Some made it, while others faltered. These up and coming generational wrestlers are for the most part lesser known than say the more established ones like The Rock, Bray Wyatt and Charlotte Flair. Who will rise and who will fall in the latest list of pro wrestlers with a legacy to uphold?
Hayden Backlund – Nephew of Bob Backlund
Hayden Backlund is the nephew to WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund. Hayden was trained by Cody Rhodes and QT Marshall in the Nightmare Factory and debuted in 2020. He started his career wrestling on the indie circuit, but made appearances on AEW Dark. He is currently signed to the NWA.
Avery Styles – Son of AJ Styles
Avery Styles was an amateur wrestler in high school. He was trained by his father AJ Styles. He has since made his pro debut on the independent circuit at 19 years old.
Joseph and Jeremiah Chavis – Sons of ‘Tatanka’ Chris Chavis
Both Joseph and Jeremiah Chavis were standout amateur wrestlers. They have since been training with TJ Wilson and Nattie Neidhart in their version of the Hart Dungeon 2.0.
Marie Malenko – Daughter of Dean Malenko, niece to Joe Malenko and Granddaughter to Boris Malenko
Marie was trained by her dad Dean and by Erick Stevens. She made her pro debut in Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan and has since signed a WWE developmental deal where she continues to train in the PC.
CJ Gallows – Son of Doc Gallows
CJ Gallows was trained primarily by New Era Fitness Gym run by pro wrestler and personal trainer Tracy Laine. He also received training by his father Doc Gallows and is currently signed by Major League Wrestling owned by Court Bauer.
MJ Eagles – Daughter of Madison and Ryan Eagles and the niece of Robbie Eagles.
MJ Eagles is the daughter of legendary Australian female wrestler Madison Eagles. She along trained her daughter for her pro debut in the Australian indies. Her uncle Robbie is a big star currently working in New Japan Pro Wrestling and also making appearances for AEW.
Luke Fury – The son of Nick Fury and nephew to Leilani Kai
Luke Fury was trained by both his father wrestler Nick Fury and his aunt WWE hall of famer Leilani Kai. He has wrestled for a number of independent groups and Ohio Valley Wrestling.
Devon Shooter – Son to ‘The Blacksmith’ Trevor van der Westhuizen and grandson to Manny van der Westhuizen
Devon Shooter is a 3rd generation wrestler from South African wrestling royalty. He was an amateur wrestler starting at age five and was trained professionally by his father. Devon started his pro career wrestling in South Africa, but has since moved to Canada competing on the independent circuit up north.
Hinata Kasai – Son of Jun Kasai
Hinata Kasai is the eldest son of Japanese Deathmatch icon ‘Crazy Monkey’ Jun Kasai. Hinata was trained out of the DDT Dojo in Japan and made his debut in August of 2025.
Aalyah Guiterrez – Daughter of Rey Mysterio and sister to Dirty Dom Mysterio and niece to Rey Mysterio Sr.
Aalyah has been no stranger to the world of professional wrestling. She was involved in storylines where she confronted Rhea Ripley and was a love interest for Buddy Murphy. She has since been spotted training with Nattie Neidhart and TJ Wilson in the Hart Dungeon. According to Rey, Aalyah has also attended sessions at WWE’s Performance Center and a training camp held by Bayley.
Sydne Watts – The daughter of Erik Watts and the granddaughter of Bill Watts. She is also the Goddaughter of Diamond Dallas Page.
Sydne Watts excelled in collegiate basketball and attended the United States Naval Academy. She is currently a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Despite her success in the military, Sydne has made it known that she would like to try and pursue a career as a third generation pro wrestler. While she has not had any formal training, in April of 2026 she attended a WWE tryout camp.
Kaia Calaway – The daughter of Mark ‘The Undertaker’ Calaway and Michelle McCool
Kaia Calaway is the 14 year old daughter of the Undertaker and Michelle McCool. Taker revealed that she is currently training with him to become a professional wrestler much to his chagrin. While Taker supports his daughter’s ambition and passion to pursue a career as a pro wrestler, he does worry about the physical toll it will take on her body as she gets older.

He’s more well known and not training yet but odds are Scott Steiner’s son Brock will be in training soon after the Saints cut him in the next few weeks. Getting a 6 week suspension for PED’s helps him with wrestling while hurting him in the NFL. Seems like a no brainer success story if he has a decent head on his shoulders.
