Wrestling with Sin: 595

August 16, 2026

This is the 595th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.

The List

Former WWE diva, the late Ashley Massaro was named in the Jeffrey Epstein files. She was accused of working for Epstein’s second in command Ghislaine Maxwell in Miami, Florida. Epstein and Maxwell were both charged with sex trafficking minors and providing women to very wealthy and powerful individuals.

While Massaro’s name was mentioned in these files, they were made by a fellow woman who claimed to work as a prostitute for Epstein and Maxwell. Massaro commited suicide in May of 2019. These accusations of working for Maxwell cannot be substantiated further, but should be noted that she was suspected of working for a Long Island brothel early in her life. A claim reiterated by Tammy ‘Sunny’ Sytch who had a heated real life squabble with Massaro before her death.

A Sister Assist

Wrestler/promoter Buddy Wayne recalled a story about the unique wrestler known as Chris Colt. Chris Colt was definitely an interesting personality who once took LSD before a cage match and mid match ran out of the cage because he began hallucinating millions of spiders entering the cage to attack him. There are countless stories like that about Colt and his adventures in and out of the ring.

Getting back to Buddy Wayne’s story…Chris was homosexual and to get straight men that he found attractive to sleep with him he allegedly staged a set-up involving his sister. He would get his sister to seduce men that Colt was attracted to. She would then drug them and take them to bed only to be replaced by her brother. According to Wayne, Colt bragged about this happening several times.

Death Matched

An independent wrestler named Braxx aka Water Holloway was shot and killed on the streets of Philadelphia in early May of 2026. Braxx wrestled for several northeast promotions as a hardcore/death match wrestler. According to police, Holloway had reportedly got into an altercation with his killer the night before and the assailant returned and opened fire on the wrestler.

Holloway was shot multiple times in both the head and leg. He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Holloway was just 31 years old at the time of his death. As of this writing, the shooter has not been publicly identified or apprehended.

Whiskey A GO! GO!

In February of 1928 in Windsor, Ontario…a professional wrestler named Paul Kanesiewki was arrested along with twelve of his associates when police staged a raid of the wrestler’s home. Kanesiewki tried to escape by jumping out of a side window, but police were stationed right underneath the window. Inside of his home, police discovered “a rather large cache of both beer and whiskey” that was hidden under the kitchen floor. It was believed that Kanesiewki and his friends intended to sell the liquor. The wrestler eventually was released from jail on $2,000 bond…his friends were all released on $50 bonds.
