This is the 568th installment of the ‘Wrestling with Sin‘ series. A group of stories that delves into the darker, underbelly of pro wrestling. Many of the stories involve such subjects as sex, drugs, greed and in some cases even murder! As with every single story in the Sin series, I do not condone or condemn the alleged participants. We simply retell their stories by researching interviews, newspapers, magazines and various other sources of media.
Singh The Blues

Second generation wrestler Tiger Ali Singh signed a huge 10 year, multi million dollar contract with the World Wrestling Federation back in January of 1997. Vince McMahon and company were expecting huge things from Singh, and was initially pushed hard gaining victories over the likes of Bret Hart and Mankind (Mick Foley). Unfortunately, his wrestling skills weren’t up to par with many of his fellow wrestlers and was eventually sent down to Puerto Rico’s IWA promotion for experience.

Singh had suffered 3 concussions over a 9 month period and was suffering post concussion symptoms. Despite the injuries, Singh continued to wrestle. While in Puerto Rico, during an outside event, it began to rain and Singh refused to compete in a match feeling it was dangerous. Singh claimed that the IWA promoter Victor Quinones insisted he wrestle the match and if he refused, he would make sure to get him fired from the WWF. Singh went ahead and went out for his match and slipped on the wet mat and suffered yet another concussion.
Singh recalled waking up in an empty locker room with no medical staff checking on him. He said he recalled how Bruiser Brody was murdered in PR and feared he was being left for dead. He returned to his hotel, grabbed his passport and left all his belongings behind and took a flight back to Canada without alerting anyone. He went to his neurosurgeon and was told that the flight back to Canada should have killed him. Singh took off the next three months to recover from his brain injuries and was told by the WWF that he was released from his contract.

Singh sued the WWF for 7 million dollars for breaching his contract, but ultimately lost the case. Singh said that the next 5 years of his life were a living hell. He suffered with anxiety and depression. He could hardly eat and slept most of the day and night. His large entourage of friends dwindled down to just a small few. Singh revealed that during this time, he attempted suicide twice. While in the mental hospital recovering, he recalled his faith and spirituality returning and was able to dig out of his depression and eventually return to his old self.
Wise Guys Finish Last

John Dacamara worked as a professional wrestler under the name of ‘Johnny Wise Guy.’ Dacamara who resided in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada worked primarily on the independents in Canada. In 2003, Dacamara was arrested for cocaine trafficking. Winnipeg police discovered two kilograms of cocaine inside his home. The drugs carried a street value of $80,000, and police seized nearly $30,000 cash from his previous sales of the narcotic.
Dacamara claimed that while wrestling for an indie promotion, he was stiffed out of money and was forced to have his utilities at home cut off. He turned to dealing cocaine to pay his rent and other bills. Dacamara was sentenced to 30 months in jail. After his release from prison, Dacamara was linked to a much more serious crime…murder. In 2006, Dacamara admitted to being an accomplice in the brutal murder of a 24 year old college student named Minh Hong Huynh.

According to police, a couple of men got into an argument with Huynh at a nightclub called Club Desire. The men left and returned with John Dacamara as the driver. The men confronted Huymh and repeatedly stabbed him. Dacamara assisted with the clean up of the vehicle, then getting the vehicle dismantled and destroyed. He then provided a hideout for one of the killers. Dacamara admitted to his part in the crime and pled guilty. He was sentenced to 7 1/2 years in prison.
Interview with a Vampiro

In early 2004, Vampiro conducted an interview with the Insane Clown Posse and appeared to be heavily under the influence of drugs. He talked about his career wrestling in Mexico and his time in WCW. Vampiro stated that he hated Billy Kidman while competing in WCW, saying that he stole a lot of his move set from luchadors. He went on to claim that he had sex with Kidman’s then girlfriend Torrie Wilson behind his back.

Vampiro then mentioned his time in TNA and was going to bring the ICP back with him. He bragged that when he does go to TNA, he’s going for the money, drugs and having sex with some of the female talent. As it turned out, TNA did have interest in bringing both Vampiro and the ICP to the promotion. Ultimately, perhaps in part because of this interview, Vampiro wasn’t called back, but the Insane Clown Posse were.
Rance-id

Wrestler/trainer and convicted sex offender Chasyn Rance was arrested in April of 2025 for violating his sex offender registration terms. Rance was originally placed on the registry after an incident in 2011 which we covered here. Rance was booked into the Orange County Jail, after reportedly failing to report a change in vehicle ownership, failing to report an internet ID or app name twice, and providing false registration info three different times.

Rance’s brother Ashtyn, was also convicted of sex crimes, as he allegedly had sex with a toddler and was sent to prison. Despite this, Chasyn has continued to work in professional wrestling with his school Team Vision Dojo. He has trained minors and insisted that he made their parents aware of his past. He has also put together wrestling events on school grounds in Florida and claimed that he went through all the proper channels to get permits to host such shows.

Wrestlers such as Kenny Omega and Booker T have been spotted working with Chasyn and have come under fire for doing so. Booker T sent out a response to the criticism on social media by stating…“This feels like a clear attempt to falsely associate me with something I have 100% nothing to do with and absolutely no knowledge of! Any student who’s trained with me can vouch for the kind of coach, mentor, and person I am. My record speaks for itself.”

Tiger Ali Singh is a prime example of how the wrestling business is run and how promoters tend to treat wrestlers like a disposable resource.

Very true.

It makes me sick that Tiger Ali Singh didn’t get fixed up by the medical staff in Puerto Rico, John Dacamara deserves to go to Hell, I’m glad TNA didn’t get Vampiro wrestle while under the influence ala Jeff Hardy, and Chasyn Rance can get a worse outcome.
